Excited yet?! I certainly was the moment I clicked "proceed to checkout" and I wanted to kiss the postman when he delivered my much awaited parcel to the door (given the current climate I simply waved and said thank you through the window).
So let’s get to it! Why is this product so special, and why does it have magic powers ?!

Product: The Ordinary BHA / AHA skin peel.
Results: SKIN PERFECTION!
So, firstly let me explain and bore you with the science of it before I can burst with excitement and explain why you need this in your life!
So, what is AHA & BHA?
AHA: otherwise known as ALPHA HYROXY ACID - is designed to exfoliate the upper most layer of skin, by taking off dead layers of skin (putting it simply!). Ultimately it is great for aging skin, sun damage, dry skin, acne, scarring and dark patches. (sounds great right! Just YOU wait).
BHA: in simple terms BETA HYROXY ACID -This is an exfoliant that works to unglue dead and dehydrated cells that may be clogging pores, making them appear larger which may be responsible for causing those annoying breakouts! BHAs have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties so they are perfect for oily and blemish prone skin as it will go deep into the pores to unclog them!
You can get both products individually and only use one if you so wish, but together, these are a power house of skin clearing perfection.
So what happens next?
I open my parcel like a child at Christmas and cannot wait to get this product on my face.
Now I'll be honest, it does look like blood, and I'm sure I could use it for Halloween (I’d be a witch with such glowing skin). Make sure you prep your skin first; wash your makeup off, wash and cleanse your face and get your hair out the way. You know, your basic skin prep ritual. Using the pipette, I put the product on my face and rubbed it all over. IT WILL TINGLE, but this is normal and with further uses I have found this does stop. Leave the product on for 10 minutes , no longer unless you’re looking to shed into new skin.
As soon as I finished spreading my vampire facial I put the timer on my phone to avoid any over cooking - better to be safe than sorry! After watching some YouTube videos, my wait was up. I trotted off to the bathroom to reveal my new face, and I was not disappointed!
I don't think I could rave enough about why you should have this product. My skin was instantly clearer, brighter, smoother, and for anyone like me who suffers with sebaceous glands in their nose, this cleared them out and shrunk all of my pores right down.
I followed this with a moisturising sheet mask, but normal moisturiser would work fine too.
I use this product twice a week, usually on a Tuesday and Saturday in the evening. I do not follow it with any other serums or retinols, because really you would just be asking for trouble. Gone are the days of excessive t-zone scrubbing - I for one have been known to scrub my t-zone with walnut and sugar scrubs etc. That quite frankly left me sore, red and looking a bit like Mr Blobby. But this isn't your life anymore. Stick with me my friend, I got you.
The second time I used The Ordinary BHA/AHA skin peel, the results were even better! It does say to use twice a week maximum, and this is a strong peel so please do not test fate.
Recently I had a little skin purge (I've been using a stronger retinol - that is a conversation for another day) and I had experienced a few breakouts but this peel has completely cleared them! I'm noticing marks are disappearing and the quality of my skin is just so much better. I can honestly say with longevity that this product can make some seriously positive changes to your life.
